Your guide is not complete. Sizing is the first part, but once you have the bike (at the right size) then you need to tailor it to fit your body. This is often as varied as their are individuals.

Misalignments at this point of once you have your bike are often causes of discomfort and even injury. Not to mention you are not as efficient on the bike as you could be with correct set up. This is where a BikeFitter can really help you get set up correctly. This is nearly impossible to do by yourself.

A similar situation is where a man buys a suit at the right SIZE, but then has it TAILORED to fit properly - i.e. hems the pant legs, takes in the waist...

A BikeFit Pro is a "tailor" for bicycles.

You may be interested to know of the following related resource:

Memorista.com is a free website devoted to making it easier to learn basic foreign language vocabulary using mnemonics, coupled with a spaced repetition algorithm to prioritize your learning effort. We model different rates of decay of memory of an item based on how well it has been memorised.

About a hundred items are available for each of five major languages, each one with a mnemonic already provided (most actually have more than one so you can choose what suits you best), or you can create your own mnemonics.

All the best

Never underestimate the value of failure. I learned this from Cher, who was talking about how a friend of hers took the ideas for Cher's wigs and spun it into a successful TV based sales business. In the process, it ruined their friendship and it never did turn out to be the success the woman had hoped. But Cher is adamant it was a good experience, a teaching experience. You learn a lot more from your mistakes than you do from your success, no matter how often you win.

With so many health companies always focused on making a profit, it could make sense for the non-profits to enter this arena. My opinion is for a few reasons:

1. Diversification: non-profits have lost a lot of cash by being heavily invested in the stock market

2. Control: by getting control/voice on the board of "profit" companies, perhaps the non-profits can influence a more socially responsible model to help people. An example would be that for every profitable person, we will help two people for free, etc... (creativity required).

3. Please comment because we would love to hear your opinion, pro or con.

thanks for sharing the article!

the first thought i had: the thesis here supports the idea of meditation retreats -- which is, in a way, learning a new skill.

anyway, just a thought.
